AndhaDhun is the perfect thriller and a dark comedy at the same time. It is far from anything you have seen in hindi movies and the talented cast just adds to it’s appeal.
Writer Director Sriram Raghavan adopts a French short film The Piano Tuner and gives the hindi film lovers an experience that will be recalled in times to come and is path breaking.
Raghavan is known for his uncanny characters like in the films Ek Haseena Thi, Johnny Gaddar and Badlapur. Andhadhun also has it’s
Ayushmann Khurrana plays a blind piano player who accidently gets involved in a murder and there on evolves an unpredictable sequence of events that shock and amuse you every few minutes in the film. The screenplay credited to five writers including Raghavan keeps you busy all the time.
The versatile Ayushmann gives his best performance till date. Radhika Apte plays Sophie and she does justice to her character.
Tabu is the scene stealer and she owns every scene she is in. We cannot tell you more about her character without any spoilers.
There is no build up to drop shocks to the audience so there is no anticipation and hence there are surprises. The trailer didn’t give you much either which in today’s scenario is a fresh approach.
The supporting cast includes Zakir Hussain, Anil Dhawan, Ashwini Kalsekar, Chhaya Kadam and Manav Vij. Each one has importance of their own. Also there is a rabbit too.
The music is perfectly balanced Amit Trivedi once again delivers nicely apt soundtrack.
The cinematography captures Pune city as never before.
If you have not yet watched it this is a movie you should never miss.
