Weekend Guide – New Releases Round Up
So it’s Friday and there are multiple movies coming your way. Here is a small preview of the new releases to help you decide what to watch. This weekend there is no major studio releasing any big budget Hindi movie, but there definitely are some interesting stuff in the form of small movies.
Hollywood on the other is presenting a sequel with sci-fi adventure.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu
This new release is the debut film of everyone’s beloved comedy artist Kapil Sharma. Earlier Kapil was supposedly do a role in a Salman film ‘Sherkhan’ that didn’t start. But fortunately director duo Abbas-Mustan decided to do a comedy with Kapil. The movie seems an out an out comedy where Kapil is doing a kind of a Govinda act with three wives. We hope and wish him well as this will be his trial on the big screen.
Madhur Bhandarkar returns with his another realistic drama on fashion industry. This time his focus is on the specifics of calendar models. Madhur has been known and awarded for his genre of mixing true events with fiction and making an interesting watch. His new release is also supposedly cover some of the real life events. This time though he has hired new faces as models from various towns of India and one from Pakistan as well.
The movie is not much hyped but MB’s USP has been his content.
The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials
The Maze Runner series started as a franchise in 2014 based on the novels by American author James Dashner. The science fiction new release is about a dystopian world where a boy Thomas wakes up in a maze and discovers clues around it about his past. The sequel Scorch trials takes the Gladers to another level where they have to pass through different obstacles.
The movie is directed by Wes Ball, and stars Dylan O’Brien.
