Given the pandemix the theaters are closed and the producers are going restless with the movies ready to be releaase. The theaters are not going to open for a while and even if they open the chances of people coming out to watch them is less, so the route that the film-makers are taking is to release these films on the OTT platforms Disney+Hotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos etc.
A big announcement came today from Hotstar with the a bunch of films that will be showcased on the platform over July to October this year.
