The Egyptian mythology has always been a source of inspiration for a lot of creative media around the world. Gods of Egypt is another upcoming fantasy action film on the subject and is slated to be released in February next year. The film stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Brenton Thwaites, Gerard Butler, and Geoffrey Rush.
Butler plays the god of darkness Set who takes over the Egyptian empire, and Thwaites plays the mortal hero Bek who partners with the god Horus, played by Coster-Waldau, to save the world and to rescue his love.
The film is directed by Alex Proyas who is known for I,Robot and Knowing.
