This has been an year of quality cinema. A cinema which has focused on storyline and performances rather than masala. There have been movies like ‘Airlift’, ‘Aligarh’ and ‘Neerja’ which have set the standards high but ‘TE3N’ is the MOST EXCEPTIONAL of all.

Here is what makes it the best movie of 2016 and a MUST WATCH:

1. The Plot : Remember Vidya Balan’s ‘Kahani’, a gripping movie that ran high on the plot. The story, a writer’s creativity is where a movie takes birth and if everything is right about the story then almost 30% of the work is done, into making that movie a SUPER HIT. ‘Kahani’ was an amazing story and the team is back with ‘TE3N’ almost 4 years down the line. We bet you won’t be able to guess even 10% of the story from the trailer, in fact not even by the time INTERVAL hits. It is such a thrill to watch ‘TE3N’.

2. Storytelling/Direction : Of course the story is not enough. A Director is the real ringmaster. No matter how hard you train a lion, if the execution is bad by the Ringmaster, the circus is a flop. TE3N has its weak moments, when you start to yawn, when you start to lose the grip. BUT… it is all intentional…all planned….as soon as you feel that it is getting boring, BANG… there comes a twist, a scene which will not just wake you up but you will start biting your nails. 5/5 to the DIRECTION.

3. Nawazuddin Siddiqui: This man doesn’t disappoint, he is just flawless. The new Super Star of Bollywood. Every time he comes on-screen, you would feel just awesome. The way he talks, the way he expresses himself, the way he moves. He surely is no SRK or Salman.. not even close.. but you just want to see more of him every time. He fits perfectly in the role he has been given and executes it to perfection.

4. Amitabh Bachchan : The GENIUS would remain a GENIUS. He is the Grand Master of Bollywood and he doesn’t need to prove it. He steals the show yet again. From the times of ‘BLACK’ to ‘PIKU’ and now ‘TE3N’, he is just unstoppable. Class is permanent and form is also permanent in case of Big B.

What is NOT good in the movie ?

1.Editing could have been better, the movie has some unwanted moments but as we pointed out, they can be intentional as well. Still we felt that editing was a slightly below perfection.

2. Well, we would say that Vidya Balan is forgettable, of course the movie starts with a disclaimer that Vidya is in ‘Guest Appearance’, but she shares a lot of screen space infact almost equal to that of all other main leads, and by no means it can be called a “Guest Appearance”. The roles that she portrays could have been done by just anyone. Well, may be Sujoy Ghosh feels that she is the lucky charm, and surely it is going to work with ‘TE3N’ as well, because it is going to be a SUPER HIT.

3. The title ‘TE3N’ is not justified enough, some may want to relate it to the fact that there were 3 people in the movie who were working to solve the mystery, but it somewhat just doesn’t appeal. The movie deserves a better title for sure.
