Post the success of Marvel’s Daredevil on the video streaming services Netflix another Marvel superhero is set to arrive, Jessica Jones. Jessica Jones is a former superhero who leaves the avocation to become a private investigator. She is the wife of another super hero Luke Cage.
The new series has Krysten Ritter playing the title character and is created by Melissa Rosenberg, It is learnt that the series will be sharing continuity with Marvel Cinematic universe this is the second show that will lead to an ultimate alliance of the defenders series.
All episodes are set to premiere November 20, 2015, on Netflix. Early reception based on the screening of the first episode at New York Comic Con was overwhelmingly positive, with praise being given to Ritter for her performance, and the series’ noir tone, approach to sexuality, and covering darker topics such as rape, assault, and PTSD.
