Brothers | Song
Just like the mesmerizing soulful songs of the previous outing of Karan Malhotra, Agneepath (2012), Brothers soundtrack has a tender love ballad ‘Sapna Jahan’. Sung by the legendary, Sonu Nigam and first time paired voice of the talented Niti Mohan, it is easily the best song of the album. There is already a lack of good songs these days in Hindi movies and Brothers is anyways about a fight, so the scope of romantic songs Is limited. The songs starts with Sonu’s voice with ballad’s essential piano and strings backing beautifully and goes on with drums but the surprise rendition of the lines by Neeti brings in table a hint of classical and later on merges in a brilliantly presented fusion. For me this is the best song so far this year and should definitely go on to win awards.
The lyrics do compliment the tune very well penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The video for the song is as good as the song itself, a look into the ordinary life of a couple with an ailing daughter. Check it out here
Ajay Atul have been amazing in the Marathi music scene and there outings in the Hindi film arena has produced some melodious tracks. Keep listing.
