A Flying Jatt
The superhero films in the west have been raking the moolah and the Hindi film industry has been trying to match up but with the low budgets and half-hearted efforts A Flying Jatt is yet another reminder that, tumse na ho payega.
The Plot
A Flying Jatt, the idea is quite potent though, putting the super powered hero right in the middle of the daily challenges of a common Indian boy, who has a difficult time doing his day job of a martial arts trainer, and keeping up with his over joyed mother, who wants him to save the world.
The Good
- The concept coupled with humor is good, and the home grown superhero idea is worth credit.
- Gaurav Pandey as Rohit the quintessential best friend is very good and the scenes where he is present make the film a lot more enjoyable.
- Amrita Singh might be repeating herself as a loud Punjabi mother who utilizes the superpowers of her son for getting daily chores done is the best performer in this really in coherent film.
The Bad
- The film is half baked, the humor is far in between the over hyped drama and the preachy tone on pollution.
- The characterization is a failure except Amrita Singh and Gaurav Pandey, everyone is a misfit. Tiger Shroff is definitely a superhero boy, yet as a Jatt he is not suitable however earnest he might act. Kay Kay is just hamming in the whole film, kind of remind you the epic disaster Drona. There is something with him as the bad guy against the worst superhero films it seems.
- Superhero films are known for the action sequences and the costumes, while Tiger wears a Khalsa costume stitched by his mother which more or less looks like Krishh’s black clothes got dyed. The action sequences are a lift of directly from Hollywood biggies and the bad CGI make it even worse.
- The overtly religious links of the hero also does the damage and the director Remo could really not put it all in an interesting way.

Overall A Flying Jatt is an opportunity lost, it could have been a very well humorous superhero flick with some originality and comical charm to it. While in the end it becomes a religious in your face preachy predicament of the director.
