The walk movie is based on the true French high-wire artist Philippe Petit’s rise to fame post his walk on the twin towers in 1974. The movie is directed by the ace director of movies like Forrest Gump, Cast Away and Flight, Robert Zemeckis. Zemeckis is known for pioneering the use the CGI into the narrative of live action films. He has won Academy Award for best director for Forrest Gump.
Sony Pictures has produced the movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt is playing the main lead as the French artist and is sporting a French accent. The movie also stars Ben Kingsley, Charlotte Le Bon, and Steve Valentine. The Walk will be released in the US on 30th September 2015 and in India on 9th October.
This movie will be released in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D formats.
