The lead actor of the first blockbuster of the new year 2019 is Vicky Kaushal. Vicky hada tremendously successful last year with wide variety of films like Raazi, Sanju and Manmarziyaan, and this year also he has his first solo lead film which has become a blockbuster with hitting the 100Cr mark and still running in theaters.
However,Vicky Kaushal had been here for a while and has worked his way through all the hardships of film making. He was assistant director for Anurag Kashyap on his ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ films. He finally gained his acting due in Neeraj Ghayvan’s Masaan that won a lot of accolades at various film festival.

Bombay Velvet (2015) – Inspector Basit is thecharacter played by Vicky Kaushal in this mega budget disaster directed by Anurag Kashyap. With Ranbir and Anushka in the lead the film had a lot of potential but the audiences rejected it. He plays the junior of Kay Kay Menon.

Love Per Square Foot(2018) – Vicky Kaushal stars in the first Bollywood film for Netflix. Here his co-star was Angira Dhar. The film received good reviews and Vicky got recognition as a romantic hero. You can watch the film on Netflix India.
Lust Stories(2018) – The actor was part of this another Netflix anthology film and was directed by the ace Bollywood director Karan Johar. Film also got recognition to Kiara Advani. You can catch this one on Netflix India.
The biggest strength of Vicky Kaushal has proved to be his commitment to the role. He has significantly proven that he is a force of acting and unlike most superstar where the actor dominates over the character, he simply vanishes behind the character he plays and is convincing to the part.
