Hamari Adhuri Kahani – Trailer Analysis

One of the most awaited trailers of the season is out and as usual it is high on emotions and drama, here is the trailer of Hamari Adhuri Kahani. No one in the last couple of years has showcased tragic love stories successfully on celluloid but Mohit Suri, and the director is back with his latest outing.
This one stars the Bhatt’s blue eyed boy Emraan Hashmi and proven power performer Vidya Balan, an unusual pairing which we last saw in the not so noteworthy Ghanchakkar.
I have always felt that Emraan Hashmi is one of the under rated actor of his generations. Despite being type casted as a serial kisser he had been trying to break the mold and take challenging assignments from time after time, like Shanghai and The Dirty Picture. Hopefully this one works for him.
Vidya Balan has won accolades for herself in movies like The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, but her last outing Bobby Jasoos didn’t work so she has to come back to the foray with this promising feature.
And the wild card in the pack is Rajkumar Rao, who needs no introduction.
The trailer shows Vidya married to Rajkumar Rao, who seems like an abusive husband and once he is taken in by police for some crime, Vidya is trying to find happiness with Emraan.
There is a dialogue where Rajkumar is stating that he will not let them meet even in seven lives. The title itself states that it is going to be a tragedy, like Mohit Suri’s previous two super hits (Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain).
Another thing you can be sure of is mesmerizing music, title track in the background in Arijit Singh’s voice is again going to chartbuster for sure.
