| Bloody Hell, It is a Bad movie!! | |
Rangoon is so badly directed that even the Queen of Bollywood couldn’t save it.
What’s Good ?
The song “Bloody Hell” was a treat. Legends can never disappoint, Sunidhi Chauhan waves magic with ‘Bloody hell’ song. But the fact that we have already heard it so many times before, it cannot be a.reason for.us to rush to the cinema halls.

What’s Better?
The trio of lead actors. Kangana, Saif and Shahid, especially Kangana who was the best of the lot. The maturity and the immense experience was clearly evident in their acting.

Storyline
It is a amalgamation of love and patriotism. An old formula that still seems very old. Honestly we expected a lot from Vishal Bhardwaj. Haider was a masterpiece and there were Shahid, Saif and Kangana. How could he go so wrong !!
The movie never actually picks pace. It lacked screenplay and there are tons of YAWNathon moments. The story is weak and there is no freshness in the storytelling as well.

What’s Worse ?
The length of the movie
Every scene is dragged, unnecessary songs here and there. There are certain light hearted funny moments but nothing stops you from feeling that you have been inside the hall forever. There is a sense of immaturity in the screenplay and overall execution. We would again blame the storyline, there was so much to cover, so many threads to connect, that even a stellar director like Vishal Bhardwaj couldn’t execute it to anyone’s liking.
What’s Worst ?
The last 15 minutes
We have no idea why we kept sitting till that long, but the climax killed it all. The larger than life melodrama, the love triangle taking unnecessary u-turns and the bad VFX to support the action made it even worse. This is the BAAP of all climaxes. The director wanted us to cry out of love and salute out of patriotism, but sorry we laughed our guts out during the climax.

Overall this one is avoidable, there are plenty other good options available, “Ghazi attack”, “Lion” and many more..
We feel bad for the star cast who worked very hard and it is evident. Kangana was special as always, and Saif and Shahid were flawless, but none of this could make Rangoon as worth a watch.
